What should baby boy wear coming home from hospital?

baby boy
MG07 asked:

Ok, so I figured this may sound like a stupid question, but I’m asking anyway lol. This is my first baby-bear with me yall- please. I wanted to know what do people bring their home in? My baby boy will arrive in the fall so I was wondering what did you all bring your fall home in? I never really saw a newborn in a fall jacket- just all wrapped up in blankets and hat of course.?. Please share with me what you all did.
Thanks

The easiest choice is a long sleeve sleeper (a warm one) with the little footsies. Or if you do a onesie, you can double up on blankies and use a hat— ’specially if the trip is short. My poor girl sweat a lot that first week, becuase i was paranid and kept overbundling her.

I didn’t buy much for my kid becuase i got SOO much at the baby shower, but i wish i would have had more fun shopping for a special take-home outfit! That would have helped the time go by, i think.

He could wear anything you would like. A cute sleeper and a matching hat might be a good choice. Cute for pictures and comfy for baby. You can also place him in a onsie, some baby pants, socks, and a cute hat. Don’t forget to get some baby scratch mittens so your little one doesn’t scratch his face.

My daughter was born at the end of March in Michigan. Still quite chilly. Most people do frilly little dresses. I bought a really cute footy sleeper, matching hat and blanket instead. She was more comfortable, still cute, and she got more use out of the sleeper than she would have a frilly little dress.
I know that you are having a boy, but I would still just get a cute terry cloth sleeper, blanket and hat.
